Jennifer Weinstock, LCSW

Welcome! I work with individuals and couples navigating a wide range of challenges, including relationship and marital difficulties, family conflict, parenting, work stress, life transitions, and general mental health.

Together, we can explore the patterns showing up in your life and relationships, and work toward building connections that feel healthier, deeper, and more meaningful.

I work to create an accepting space that honors your unique story, strengths, and needs. My approach is warm, genuine, and collaborative, and I hold deep respect for who you are and what you bring.

About Me and My Work

I have a graduate degree from NYU Silver School of Social Work and have done postgraduate training with the Ackerman Institute for the Family. I have also been trained in several evidence-based approaches, with Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) being at the heart of how I work. EFT focuses on building secure emotional bonds and helping people understand the deeper needs and fears driving their relational patterns.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in software development and management for many years. It was work I found genuinely engaging, but over time I found myself wanting something that felt more directly connected to people and to what matters in their lives. Becoming a therapist felt like a natural next step, and it's a decision I haven't looked back on. My previous career shapes how I work, though, as I understand the pressures and intricacies of professional life, and have a certain fluency with clients who are high-achieving, analytically-minded, or navigating demanding careers.

My background also includes extensive work in New York City's social services sector, spanning community mental health, schools, and more.

Relationship and couples work is a particular focus and passion of mine. I'm drawn to it because of how central these relationships are to our wellbeing, and how much it can hurt when they feel difficult or out of reach. There is something I find deeply rewarding about the moments when partners finally feel heard by each other, or when a long-standing pattern that has felt confusing for years finally starts to make sense.

Rates & Insurance

Services

  • I see clients virtually, and am licensed in the states of New York and Florida.

  • My rates are $200 for individual sessions, and $225 for couples therapy sessions.

  • I'm in-network with Aetna, Oscar, Oxford, UMR, and United insurances.

  • I am an "out-of-network" provider for many other insurance plans. Out-of-network benefits often cover between 60 - 80% of my fee, and I'm happy to assist you with the claim submission process. If you have out-of-network insurance, please check your plan for deductibles and requirements.

  • I reserve a portion of my practice for clients whose financial situation requires a sliding scale fee. I would be happy to discuss your situation during the initial consultation.

Please reach out with any questions or if you'd like to schedule a free consultation. I look forward to hearing from you.
